STEAM Camps - STEMWORKS presents a day of fun filled activities.
day 1 - 26th July
Capacitor Cars:
This workshop explores the future of transport, in particular electric vehicles. Working in teams, students will learn how to construct an electronic circuit that will be used to power their car. When designing their car, students must consider the shape, material choices and structure. The activity encourages students to use a wide range of skills and consolidates knowledge in the Science and D&T.
Sessions will run from 9:30am - 15:30pm
Day 2 - 27th July
Sustainable Solutions:
Sustainable Solutions: Are you ready to tackle climate change in your local area. During this activity you will develop your employability skills. For example, listening, speaking, problem solving, creativity and teamwork. Working in teams you will need to work through the design process to research, design and develop a prototype solution to a local problem. Once tyou have the prototype, your task will be to time to enter the Dragon’s Den and communicate their findings in a group presentation.
Sessions will run from 9:30am - 15:30pm
A Nutritious lunch is provided! Please provide your child with a snack and water bottle.
