Discover Hockey Camp (Children in Years 3 - 9)

If your child is a hockey lover, then Discover Hockey Camp is the perfect opportunity to get prepared!

Our two-day camp is designed for children in years 3 - 9 (8 - 15 year olds)

Discover Hockey Camp provides two days of specialist coaching with the aim of boosting overall confidence with game play. Specific areas of focus throughout our two-day camp will include:

• MT13 2 day camps are hugely popular and jam packed with a variety of warm up routines, skills rotations, game play and tactical considerations.

• Build on your knowledge, skills and abilities or just try out the sport for the first time

• Meet new friends or catch up with old ones and learn from our experienced MT13 coaches who will help you develop the next skill on your hockey journey.

• Be challenged at your own level - you will be grouped by ability and not age!

• Coach player ratio 1:10

• Individual prizes awarded based on several factors including attitude, teamwork and skill development

• A goody bag for each player

In session 1 of the camp, the head coach observes all of the children playing and organises the groups. If your child would like to swap groups, please encourage them to speak with a coach in the first instance. We group based on ability rather than age and so your child may have the opportunity to learn alongside children from other counties and schools. They can, of course, be with their friends, school or club mates in the breaks but they may not be with them for coaching.

No matter your child’s level of experience, Discover Hockey Camp coached by MT13 professional coaching has been designed to improve your child’s confidence on and off the pitch whilst encouraging them to be active and make new friends.

Age groups:
Our coaching sessions are for children in years 3 - 9

• Kit required:

• Trainers

• Stick

• Shin pads

• Gum shield

• Name labelled water bottle

• Waterproof jacket

We would strongly recommend putting kit in a carrier bag inside the hockey bag, so that everything remains dry should it rain. Please be aware that your child may get wet and stronly advise provding a waterproof jacket.

Lunch:

A hot nutritious lunch will be provided! Please provide snacks and water bottle!

• £45 per day

• £80 if booking two days
